Now is the time for each of us to live life with purpose and passion ... to live life with integrity and truth ...to live life awake and mindful ... to live life in community and faith ... to live life wild and abundant and free ... to live life as a gift and a treasure.  And so my time begins ....

I was awakened the other night, at exactly 10:00pm ... heart pounding, mind racing and VERY irritated ... I had to train at 6:00am and i was in no mood to be awake.  So, I ignored the "get up and write" voice and returned to prayer ... "Thy Will Be Done, Thy Will Be Done, Thy Will BE Done" ... yeah, right ... after an HOUR of prayer I was less than pleased, so I threw back the covers, grabbed my journal, and stomped downstairs to sit by the fire.

Opening my journal gave me instant quiet and I began to write mini-phrases ... all beginning with "Today I am" ... and within moments I had written 93 "Today I am ..." phrases.  I thought the process curious and decided to count out 93 days from January 1 and found the landing date to be April 3 ... and the phrase for that day is ... "Today I am magic!"  I was beyond excited because this date has great significance to me ... I wonder what the next 93 days will bring ... and so the journey begins ...

Today I am celebrating ...

Today I am celebrating the profound relationships in my life ... the ones that give me joy, pain, irritation, tears, laughter, and admiration ... they have taught me kindness and patience. 

Today I am celebrating the depths of bravery in the lives of friends who have struggled with death, sorrow, and illness ... they have each taught me the power of sacrifice and love.

Today I am celebrating the unknown path because a dear friend recently said to me "... MK, if you see the path in front of you ... it isn't yours".  THAT made me tilt my head since I was under the impression that I NEEDED to SEE and UNDERSTAND the path I was running or clawing upon everyday! She taught me the joy of simply walking in the present moment.

Today I am celebrating the lessons of 2009 ... money struggles, self-worth issues, family crisis, ego aka Edging God Out, status in the community, business expansion?, marriage challenges, scheduling conflicts ... and money flowing, being honored by friends, family celebrations, prayer, community blessed, business expansion!, love in my marriage, scheduling solutions ... they have ALL taught me the harmony in life.

Today I am celebrating living in harmony with my physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, and social life.  I am so tired of hearing or reading articles on how to balance my life ... to me balancing life will only make me a stressed-out juggler with my eyes watching everything above me and seeing nothing around me ... pretty soon I am going to drop the balls ... and then what?

Life is harmony.  Do you notice how the seasons blend into one another, how the sun and the moon share the morning sky or how the ocean tides ebb and flow ... that's perfect harmony.  Life was designed so beautifully for each of us to explore, celebrate, manifest, and adore.

Today I am celebrating walking a mindful, present moment ... noticing my thoughts, my words, and my actions ... knowing that I make a difference ... YOU make a difference ... and WE as a community make a difference ...
